A special combined service involving local Baptist Churches is planned for 9.30am on Sunday 12th August, to take place at Epping Baptist Church. This service will replace our usual Sunday services on that day.
We are planning to run the bus. Park at CBC from 8:50am to catch a lift down.
First, we have the opportunity to host together, Pastor Vee, who is the General Secretary of the Asia Pacific Baptist Federation. This is a Federation that includes 60 Baptist Conventions, 55 000 Baptist Churches and over 3 million Baptists in the Asia-Pacific region. It will be good to hear something of God’s wider work in our region, and it will be particularly of interest to us, given our strong Asian constituency and connections.
Second, it is an opportunity to gather together some of our local Baptist Churches, something we don’t do often enough. This “Generations” Celebration Service recognises that all of our churches, at different times, contributed something to the planting of the next church: Eastwood –> Epping –> Carlingford –> Riverside.
