On Sunday 26th April, David Starling, NT lecturer of Morling college, will be preaching and sharing with us from 1 Corinthians.

As Christians we seek to be an alternative witness to our peers, and the world. Are our lives recognisably different? Do our decisions empower our friends, and those who make our food?

In a place like Sydney – hard work and life enjoyed (by us at least) is our culture’s story. These past weeks, that story has come to a grinding halt. What should be our witness at a time like this?…where work has slowed down, and pleasure is closed for business. What should we think twice before chasing again?

Corinth, a city with a similar cultural story (busy, successful lives) also hit times of hardship, and the apostle Paul had something to share with the church.

In a city grieving fast-paced, pleasure-filled weeks, David will explore 1 Corinthians 7 to help us become the alternative witnesses this world yearns to see.
