At the 2019 Baptist World Aid ‘End Poverty’ Launch, you’ll be inspired and equipped to take powerful and meaningful action to help end poverty and injustice in our world, as well as in your own communities. We hope to see you there!
To end poverty we need a combination of efforts: giving generously, shopping ethically, and advocating to corporate and political power structures that can help or hinder us. We’ll be seeking to extend our discipleship in all of these areas, so bring a friend or a group to get into action together.
We’ll have a focus on advocacy about justice and generosity leading up to the Federal Election. We’ll learn how to run a forum for candidates in our communities and have a friendly local parliamentarian help us understand how best to raise our voices. We’ll look at the most urgent recommendations of our Global Neighbour Index.
In celebration of Baptist World Aid’s 60th year, we’ll also introduce the BRAND NEW ‘End Poverty’ mobile App. This amazing discipleship tool will also be home to the Ethical Fashion Guide… making it easily accessible!
