OUR PURPOSE
To be a Christ-centred community, growing in faith and sharing the Gospel
OUR VALUES
We affirm the ‘core 5’ values of the Baptist Churches of NSW & ACT:
Christ-centred, Mission-shaped, Relationally-committed, People-empowering, Partnership-oriented (see http://thecorefive.nswactbaptists.org.au/Core_Five/The_Core_Five.html for all that these entail). We wish to note that being Christ-centred includes being prayerfully dependent on God.
We celebrate the following 3 values that are especially important to us and that help people know who we are as a church: Bible, Hospitality, Cultural Diversity.
BIBLE
We are committed to the Bible as our authority for life and ministry.
Our preaching helps us grow in our understanding of what God is saying to us in the Bible. The Bible has a central place in our ministries. It is read and discussed by individuals. It guides and shapes our decision making.
HOSPITALITY
We are committed to welcoming people into our community life.
Our community is a welcoming one, where people take a genuine interest in the lives of those who come to us and we offer personal and practical care. We seek to open our lives to each other.
CULTURAL DIVERSITY
We are committed to reflecting the diversity around us in our worshipping community.
We welcome, include and respect all who choose to fellowship with us, regardless of differences in ethnicity, age, gender, wealth or family status.
OUR VISION
To be passionate disciples of Jesus Christ in a growing network of diverse but united communities on mission.
