For the school holidays we’ve got two bible stories and lots of other activities to work through at your own pace!
Kids – make sure you check with your parents or another trusted adult before clicking on any links!
We’ve added a video from Saddleback Kids Club to remind us about the story in Acts so far. Check it out, above.
An example of how the early church helped others and sorted out problems. An update on our May Mission Month Appeal & Hope Street Collection (two examples of the church doing this today!) are below.
For Families – Together@Home
Stephen trusted in God – even in difficult times. Even when people made up lies about him, even if it cost him his life. And God was with Stephen. This month we are praying to be able to trust God more. We hope Stephen’s courage – encourages you!
Note to parents: This is a challenging story – and demonstrates the real difficulties and persecution that the early church faced (which is still present in our world today). You might like to read the bible passage first before sharing it with your children, to be prepared for any questions. If you have very young children you might wish to shorten the story to Acts 6:8-15 & 7:55-56.
Colour Book Activity (Helping Older Children): You might like to change the black colour to ‘grey’ to avoid linking race with sin.

Have a look at the ideas for remembering the memory verse in Together @ Home. You could use the ideas to help remember our monthly verse, the weekly verse or another verse that is important to you.
This month our prayer focus is that we would be able to trust God more.

Send in your photo or video to Emma as soon as possible. Kids check with Mum, Dad or a trusted adult first.
A fantastic contribution of food supplies was donated to Hope Street – to help people in difficult circumstances this winter. Check out the video here.
